You will begin the 13.1-mile race near the intersection of Olio Road & 113th Street. You will then Race Around the Reservoir and end at the Geist Lake Marina off of Fall Creek Parkway.

This was my first post-vertigo half. Beautiful course but hilly! Huge hill starts at about 7.2 miles and goes for one mile. Expo was disappointing.

I liked the first 7 miles. Miles 7-12 was through upscale neighborhoods and was not that interesting. Limited crowd support. Race was under yellow caution due to heat. Very nice medal and shirt.

Generally a good race, although there wasn't as much access/view of the water as I had hoped for a race billed as a run around a reservoir. Shuttle at the start/finish was a bit dicey, but all in all was an ok race.

This race was extremely well organized. I was concerned that there might be problems because it was the first year, but everything was well done by the organizers. The course was flat to rolling downhill in the first six or so miles, with some uphill stretches in the second half of the race. We mostly ran through neighborhoods around the reservoir, but we crossed the reservoir bridge around the third mile, and again near the end. The day was mild and breezy. An excellent race. This was my 50th half marathon.

The first year for this race and it was very well organized. Hilly with shade and lots of trees. The race was capped at 2500 making it great run.
