| 3rd Year I've run this. Crowds are plentiful & very supportive! The 1/4 mile to the finish line can't be beat! Go Big Red! |
| |
| This was my fourth time there. The community support is amazing! Finishing in Memorial Stadium is also very cool. |
| |
| With construction in the stadium area, the bag dropoff was confusing this year. Warmer morning than the last 3 years. Always a great race for spectator support. |
| |
| Packet pick up was madness--they could use more room. Otherwise, extremely well organized. And, a beautiful, nicely shaded course and you can't beat the finish! |
| |
| Very popular race with excellent crowd support. Generally rolling with a larger hill at mile 9. Some sections of the course are fairly crowded. |
| |
| 10,000 participants this year. Crowded in some spots, but still lots of fun. |
| |
| Too large a race to be run on sidewalks for so much of the course. Narrowing barricades at start good idea for controlling crowding but it won't work unless seeded corrals are used. Good crowd support and nice finish on 50 yard line of Memorial Stadium! |
| |
| This was a good course. |
| |
| One of the best races for crowd support |
| |
| It's a friendly race. |
| |
| Great race. Fairly flat course. Finish in college football stadium. |
| |
| Good race. excellent crowd support along 2/3 of the course |
| |
| A great first half marathon - lots of cheerleaders out there! |
| |
| 2009 was even better than 2008 much more food available at end. everything was good. The only possible problem was
the 2.5 +- between water. In a hot year this could be a problem. |
| |
| Flat course, very well organized, very courteous race volunteers. Water, fruit along the course. Pasta dinner included! Great stuff. |
| |
| Very good race, excellent crowd support and growing is size every year. |
| |
| Very good race, nice town |
| |
| Weather was good. The course was OK. There were 3 long inclines that were not very steep. The food at the finish was sparce. The Shirt was great, a tech shirt with no advertising. On a hot day they would need water more than every 2 to 2.5 miles. Overall the race was well run. Traffic control was fine. It was nice to have a building to wait inside in the cold weather. The pasta diner was free and was OK. The finisher medal was nice but small. |
| |
| Biking & running is great! |
| |
| Crazy spring weather. Be prepared... The course was not as flat as I expected. The technical shirt and extra finisher's shirt was nice. There was lots of food, if you like sliced oranges, yogurt, and pretzels. |
| |
| Lessw training this year so time a little slow. Always like the crowd support. |
| |
| Great race, great organization, great weather, tougher course than they advertise, but the neighborhoods they take you through are gorgeous. The start area is about a perfect as it can get - porta-potties outside and real bathrooms inside. Still some lines(which I don't think you can ever get away from), but there were enough facilities that they all moved fast. And personally, I liked the bike path. Some one went to a lot of effort to write messages to 'Sarah' someone - it was fun to read them. Thanks to whomever! You got a lot of comments from the rest of us. The finish area was great and so were the finisher's medals. Truly a race worth putting on your calendar. |

| I ran this race in 2006.
Perfect weather, great organization, pretty course.
Great pasta dinner the night before and a nice lunch afterward.
Friendly volunteers and lots of spectators. Water cups with tops and *straws*!
Met lots of nice people before, during and after the race.
Highly recommended.

| 5/7/06 - It was a beautiful day for a little run in Lincoln. This was not my first time running this half, but it is the first time since joining Half2Run! The support and the crowd are wonderful on this half course. It gets a little congested on the trail portion of the run, and makes you look forward to the hill! Note: Described as flat and fast, but there is at least one long steady climb. Flat is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. |

| I ran this on May 7th 2006.It was a well organized race for most parts. There were a few spots on the coarse where I was confused as to what mile marker I was on.I'm used to having the water stations every 2 miles but when I got to the 2 mile mark they were packing up tables .There was another spot on the coarse that I got confused, can't remember what mile marker it was?Anyway the fan support is great the weather was good, overcast not too hot or cold. The only downer I found about the coarse was the bike trail.I was going good untill I came upon the trail too many bodies in one little space.I ended up running different paces than my own.
After I got off the trail I was pretty much spent.I suppose thats my own fault but I didn't want to pass people in the grass and fall on my fanny. The overall race though is good ,lots of volunteers and easy to get around to everything.I'm thankfull to be able to run,and it was a good race to cross Nebraska off the list with.Praise God |

| I ran this event in 2003. I wasn't in the best shape I've been in. Preparation for a spring race is difficult in Wyoming. Oh well, I finished it and lived to tell the story. |
| |
| Nice race. Good crowd support. |
| |
| May is a great time to run! |
| |
| (2000, 2002)This was my first 1/2 so I only have fond memories of it. Except for the humidity part. The second time I ran it I ran next to John Bingham which was cool. Logistically a very easy race to do. |
| |
| Rained the ENTIRE time!! (2003) Can't really remember anything about the course other than the pouring rain!! |
| |
| I have done this half marathon 3 times, but my first time was 05/02/2002 |
| |
| Nice and flat. Lot of crowd support. Would do it again. |
| |
| 8/25/2002 It was flat but the weather wasn't that great rain. |
| |
| I did this half in 1996 and 2003. It was pouring rain in 2003 and the start was delayed. There is good town support and the course is relatively flat. |
| |
| I ran this race as my 2nd half-marathon and it remains my PR. Although it was very humid in 2000 it didn't seem to bother me. I thought it was very well organized and enjoyed it very much. |
| |
| The wind was brutal! Especially on 10th St. during the last full mile. Otherwise, the event was great! (It was the second half marathon that I had done in as many days.) Mile 4 and 5 went on Sheridan Blvd., a section of older homes in Lincoln.
From the 10K point to Mile 9 was on the bike path, which made for some congested moments at times.
The fan support was excellent. Very friendly and very supportive. The first race that I've ever been at where the water and Gatorade cups had lids and straws! |
| |
| This was a good, fast, flat course. The spectators were great, the water stop at mile 10 was very motivating. The only downside was the wind! |
| |
| Always a good race to run |
| |
| Great town and race. Nice course. |
| |
| It rained cats and dogs the whole time. All that I remember is blisters, blisters, and more blisters!!! |
| |
| (2001) My sister and I ran this and had a great time. You run through some pretty nice neighborhoods and part of downtown. The drive back to Omaha made for a sore one though! |
| |
| Good race. Growing every year |
| |
| Good day ended with a good time for me. |
| |
| The course is very flat. The hill at mile 9 is gradual. The weather has been hot cold or raining cats and dogs. Go prepared for anything. |
| |
| Good race |
| |
| Chasing everyone! |
| |
| Warm morning with high humidity this year. Coming off a cold so a little slow. |
| |
| Good race |
| |
| My second half. Good organzied race. |
| |
| This is the town I grew up in. Ran right by my old house. Had a great time! |
| |
| My first half. Rain before the race. Second half of course ran back into a stiff wind. |
