| I loved the area and the food! We stayed at the Summerhill Suites downtown which I will highly suggest! I didn't like the 1:45 minute delay before we started the half. It was a bit to warm to start at that time and yes, it was a hilly and difficult course. |

| We stayed at the Hilton--oh what a view! Our room overlooked the entire oriole's field. So close to everything! Maryland use to be our home from '83 to 2001. PA pror to that!Expo and pre-race hype were great. Half marathon start of 9:45 a.m. not very condusive for couples doing half and spouse doing full. Too hot to start a half at that time. Medal was great and under armour shirts rocked. This course is too hilly! Not so much elevation wise but there were so many of them! A tough course to do. This is the first race I've done where I'd really have to think it over, if I wanted to do again! Hesitant because of half start time and again -- oh those hills. |

| I got a cheap flight from Southwest-and the train takes you into downtown Baltimore for $3.60 round trip-saved a lot by staying at the BWI Marriott-overall I loved the venue-the weather was perfect temp with a light rain. The women get special women's cute cut Under Armor shirt and a cute happy crab medal. The major dislike was the race started at 9:45am-so I got downtown at 7:00am did my gear check-because it is far from the half start-then got a chance to see the inner harbor.I think they need a timing clock at the start and the finish ffor the halfers. When I finished it only showed the marathoners time from 08:00AM. |

| |
| My first half-marathon walk. Walked most of it with Regina from Delaware. |
| |
| Did not realize how hilly Baltimore is! For the most part..a scenic run, some slummy areas with dead rodents..but only for a short time! Nice end. |
| |
| Ran the race because it was local. Took subway to start which was easy. Nice to see familar sights but overall it is just an ok course and event. |
| |
| Hilly but fun! |
| |
| This was a constant course of hills, and it was unseasonably warm this year. That aside, the expo was huge, the medal nice, & shirt & crowd support were great! Post-race crab stew was super!

| |
| Hilly course and started to late for as hot as it was. I enjoy it beacase its a hometown race. |
| |
| HMMM- it is always tough, but why not start the half earlier. Post race party way TOO crowded.
Will have to think about this one to do again. |

| Hilly course but close by makes it easy to get to by Subway for me. OK expo and post race festivities. |
| |
| I love Baltimore, but I think this race is hard. It is very hilly. Steep hills. The medal this year was at least better than the puny medal from '06.

| Beautiful weather, rather hilly for a FL gal. Not a lot of crowd support. |
| |
| I am a racewalker. Very well organized race but not a fast course because of the many many hills. Will be doing RnR San Jose, CA tomorrow! My 2nd for this weekend!!! |
| |
| Beautiful day - lots of hills -- and an unbelievably great medal! Well worth the run! |
| |
| Great weather! Lots of water and gatorade! Love the medal and t-shirt! Didn't know what to expect with the course, since I heard there were a few hills, but I still ran a decent pace! For me anyway! |
| |
| Rolling hills, no music along the route, but lots of spectators. good water stops. Scenery so so |
| |
| Well organized/supported race. Tough, hilly course. |
| |
| Great race! Nice weather and lots of support! |
| |
| This was a great event! The organizers did a superb job getting everything put together and communicated to the racers. The course was far hillier than I had expected, but the weather was excellent. If you've not hit MD yet, I'd definitely put this one on your calendar. |

| (2007)We had perfect temperatures at race time (55 degrees, 63 by finish)! The race is mostly uphill with the last 2 downhill. It runs its own course until mile 2.9, then joins the marathon, which is sort of neat! Because of the late start, we got to see the leading marathoners from our hotel window before we started! Great race shirts (Under Armor) and cool medals (have a little crab on them!). Only gripes were no clocks for 1/2 marathoners, just mile markers, and hard to find people at the end. Great post race party and awesome finish running by Camden Yards and ending by the Raven' Stadium (where the expo was held).

| The course was a little hilly and I did not do as well as I should have. But the race was well organized, besides porta potty's having the stadium restrooms was great, very little waiting. Only negative for me was the later start time of 9:45. |
| |
| Baltimore is a nice city to visit with great food. The course is quite difficult with all the hills. I didn't like the late start. |
| |
| I was deferred from 2005 so running 2006 was important to me. This is a well supported local race that competes with the Marine Corp Marathon. Lots of hills, the terrain map is misleading. Even as a local got to see parts of Balt I have never seen before. Did a much better job this year than last in making sure there was enough water and snacks along the way. If you run this make sure to say hi to the gummy bear guy-he is a local institution and stays out for the very last runner. |
| |
| Wow, this one was hills, hills and more hills. Then we hit a headwin at mile 10. The race was very pretty though and lots of people cheering us on. The food at the end was standard, but that's ok because I am looking for a real meal about 2 hours later. I really hated waiting around for the start. |
| |
| It was almost perfect weather at the start of the 1/2. The temperatures were in the mid-40's and the sun was shining overhead. There are great things about this race and some not so great things. The crowd support is awesome. The finish is awesome. Running by Camden Yards on the way to the finish is great. It seems, though, that the race runs through some really bad neighborhoods, and the scenery is not real exciting. The shirt is great, the medal is small but different, and the food at the end was almost non-existent. The two free beers were cool, though! |
| |
| This was a hilly course, but they had gummi bears on the course. Great shirts! |
| |
| Nice course but late start. Like the full better. |
| |
| Hilly and hot. Late start, as you join the marathon at mile 13. |
| |
| nice race course, but did not like the delayed start for the half marathon |
| |
| This was the hardest course I have run so far. Uphill at every mile and they ran out of water at the finish line. The finish was great at the stadiums and the weather was perfect. |
| |
This race was in my hometown. It is sooo hilly! It was fun and with all of the hills I am pretty happy with my time. This is the first time I have been able to run the whole way without stopping to walk. I feel good about that!

I just ran this race this weekend. It was very hilly and the weather was not ideal for a race (78 degrees and quite windy). The race had pretty bad ammenities - you start at the 13 mile mark of the full marathon, which is a pain. Very few fans and a super boring route. Under Armour shirts are cool, though.
| |
| I ran this race Oct. 2005. It was very warm at the start of 9:45 am. Lots of hills during the first half of the race. The medal and under armour shirt were very nice. Lots of spectators coming in to the finish line made it very exciting. Great race overall. |
| |
The beautiful weather hid the inclines...the inclines "snuck up" on you the first 7 miles. The water/gatorade stops were spaced far apart, though they were well "stocked". I enjoyed it though, it was nice running alongside the marathoners (you know they needed help to get to the end!!)
| |
| The scenery is nice, but the topography was horrid! Nice race shirt and medal. |

| |
| I walked this in Oct 2004 - my first race. Lots of hills, not many spectators at the finish but loved the massage tent. Made my day after the race. |
| |
| Didn't think I'd be so impressed with this run since I live here but I have to say I have yet to see such phenomenal crowd support anywhere else. UnderArmour is the sponsor now and each participant gets a UA shirt -- much better than the standard tee at other races! I ran it in 2003! |
| |
| I did this race in 2003 (10/18/03) and it was a warm day in high 60s with a good party at the finish after the race runs by Camden Yards which is a great stadium to watch a baseball game. |
| |
| 2004 - definitely lacking in ammenities! Even the potty-potties were hard to find. The course was interesting, tho I could have done without the wind off the Bay at the end. The pasta party is worth the money as you get a certificate to one (you pick) of Baltimore's great Italian restaurants. |
| |
| I ran this race in 2004. Probably the most fun of all the races I have run. Great participation by runners and by the City. I even wrote a letter to the news paper. Not to mention the wonderful food - seafood and Italian. Really fun race |
| |
| (10/16/04) The course was hilly but great support along the way. The last 5K was all downhill though. The Under Armour shirt is one of my favorites! |
| |
| I really enjoyed this race. Great Under Armour shirt! Someday I will be back - fall races are difficult because of busy weekend schedule. |
| |
| Now this is a great race! What a weekend event...5k, half and marathon all with starts close to each other. Baltimore is a wonderful city with a great harbor and lot of crowd support. I ran it in 2003 and although I found the course challengin (1:42:48 chip time) I finished 6/42 AG, so a lot of the times were slower. We had really hot, sunny weather. The post race festivities were the best and get there early for the Amourall pavillion....it fills up fast and there's lots of good deals for running gear. http://www.bkbltd.com/2003/baltimore3.htm |
