| Great race as usual. :) |
|
| |
| I ran this as the 12:00 pacer. As usual, it's a well-organized and scenic race. |
|
| |
| Great race all around as usual. They did not provide GU which isnt a problem for since I carry my own. I love how the city comes out to support this race. |
|
| |
| Weather is always seems a question mark for 5/3rd. This year: mist at the start, then overcast, temps 55-60, after an all night rain ...perfect. |
|
| |
| Weather is always an iffy variable for this race. It snowed! The course is very pretty. Will do again. |
|
| |
| It was cold. It was rainy. It was long. But I finished (despite having blisters, sore hamstrings, sore knees and blood all over my race number because I stabbed my fingers with the safety pins trying to remove the numbers to take off my jacket and then put them back on my shirt....just 'cuz it was cold didn't mean a jacket was needed...but it did mean my fingers were numb and didn't feel the pricks of the safety pins.) |

| I was hesitant about running this race, the weather was calling for high winds cold temps and rain. I made myself get to the start line and I must say I had no regrets. I felt so good during this race. The spectators are great, the volunteers were most awesome, and the course was beautiful. The course support was some of the best I had seen complete with oranges, fluids, and 2 GU stops. I highly reccommend this to everyone. |

| they changed the course this year because of flooding. It was very hilly but still a fun race! |
|
| |
| it rained the first couple of miles but then dried up - great support, from both volunteers and spectators! |
|
| |
| This race was a totally different course due to flooding along the Grand River-it went from a loop to an out and back with more hills.I liked out and back because we got to see the front runners. The start was cold and raining but the rain let up after the 4 mile marker.GReat volunteers and gatorade stations. Medal was too small and the ribbon too narrow. |

| beautiful, a must do! |
|
| |
| Perfect day for racing!!! |
|
| |
| Nice day for a race. Flat the first half, a bit hilly on the way in. Great crowd support. |
|
| |
| Great weather for the run this year and the number of runners was at a record high on its 30th anniversary! |
|
| |
| Drizzly (is that a word?). First time running this race and didn't expect the hills later in the race. |
|
| |
| Not nearly as wet and rainy as last year (thank God), and a fun race to run! |
|
| |
| Have run this race many times and it is always a test of endurance if you have not run a spring marathon. Weather can be rainy (last couple years). One of the best races in Michigan even if not a half marathon. Best time is 1:46 |
|
| |
| 4th year in a row for this classic event. Can't quite catch the magical 2-hour mark. |
|
| |
| Second time I've run it. 17 minutes better than last year. No walking this time! |
|
| |
| First long run, rained first half, nice track, fun run! |
|
| |
| 2.4 more miles makes all the difference. Rainy and cool. |
|
| |
| I know that this doesn't count for our half-marathons, but I did this the weekend after the MiniMarathon in Indy, and two weeks after the Flying Pig Half. What a feat! It was cold and rainy, and after mile 14 I wanted to quit... but I finished! I even started dead last due to arriving late. It was good, and I did it in 2004 as well. |
|
| |
| What an interesting day for a run. It rained hard for the first 6 miles and tapered off to a sprinkle by mile 10. A pretty scenic route at times and a fun finish in to the center of downtown with great fan support along the course. A well organized and runner-friendly event...now if we can figure out how to manage the weather better...:) |

| |
| Ran it in a thunderstorm/downpour in 2004 -- still a spectacular event. Shaved 4 minutes off my 2003 finish time thanks to the rain and cold. Thanks to the spectator who shouted "You are awesome" at about mile 14!! I needed that :) |

| Good buzz! |
|
| |
| I've run this race at least 3 times over the years. It's well organized, well supported, and the biggest 25k in the nation. Definitely a solid race. |
